The Case 95 patient was successfully treated at age 95 with Topical Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (THOT®) for a Stage IV necrotic wound. The patient later celebrated her 100th birthday with both legs. Read more about her case and see photos here.

The Numobag® Kit generates Topical Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (THOT®), a treatment process that has been developed by scientists over more than 25 years of clinical research.  Rather than traditional hyperbaric oxygen therapy that increases systemic blood levels of oxygen, THOT® uses medical grade oxygen topically with the Numobag®.

The Numobag® is a patented, FDA-cleared Class II medical device. It is a thin, transparent, disposable membrane bag that covers the legs and approximately 75% of the human torso.  The membrane is composed of a polyethylene material that is considered “extremely clean,” although not sterile.  The Numobag® is filled with medical grade oxygen at the correct atmospheric pressure.

Numotech, Inc. has conducted research with Sandia National laboratories to enhance the Numobag® and to ensure its safety.

The Numobag® significantly speeds healing and improves quality of life for patients with:

  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Pressure sores
  • Burns–thermal and chemical
  • Skin grafts
  • Amputations
  • Post surgical infections
  • Plastic surgery wounds
  • Traumatic wounds

Why Numobag®?

  1. Proven clinical efficacy and published research. See Publications.
  2. The Numobag® uses medical grade oxygen.
  3. Oxygen pressure in the Numobag® does not occlude blood flow in the capillaries.
  4. Taping the Numobag® to the body at the nipple line does not interfere with blood flow to a wound.
  5. Numobag® polyethylene is cleaned to 1000 cert (ISO 6) which lessens the risk for bacterial contamination and toxic reactions of contamination particles with oxygen.
  6. Numobag® polyethylene does not emit toxic gases.
  7. For a more detailed explanation of items 1-6, refer to UCLA’s evaluation comparing the Numobag® to other topical hyperbaric oxygen therapy devices. A UCLA professor of medicine invented the technique of low pressure topical hyperbaric oxygen therapy for re-vascularizing gangrenous and diabetic ulcers..
  8. One day, 8 CEUs, Numobag® training program for nurses including safety.
  9. The Numobag® is disposable membrane eliminating cross contamination between patients.
  10. Patients can be treated in the hospital, at a clinic, or at home by medical personnel or by trained family members or friends.

Arab Health 2024 in Dubai

On Day 3 at Arab Health 2024 in Dubai, the Honorable Martina Strong (second from right), U.S. Ambassador to the UAE, met U.S. exhibitors at their booths to learn more about their healthcare innovations. The Numotech booth is in the background.
